call recording: Truecaller's latest update has come out this week. Truecaller
12 has added a bunch of new features to this Caller ID app. In addition to
Ghost call and call announcements, this update has added call recording
facility to Truecaller. Earlier, only premium customers could record calls
through Truecaller, but now the Swedish company has come up with this feature
for all customers. For now, this update has only appeared for Android
subscribers.
This feature
allows you to record incoming and outgoing calls from any Android phone using
Truecaller. All recordings will be saved in the phone's storage. However,
premium customers will be able to use the call recording feature as before. To
record calls through Truecaller, the smartphone must have at least Android 5.0
or higher.
How to do call recording with Truecaller?
Access Open
Accessibility by opening Settings on Android phone
• Now in the
Downloaded Apps section, select the Truecaller Call Recording option
• Now enable
Truecaller Call Recording option. Now select Ok in the warning message
• Now open
the Truecaller app. If you haven't updated the app, get an update from the Play
Store
• Then tap
Menu at the top left
Scroll down
and select the Call Recording option
• Then enable
Call Recording toggle
• Now
whenever you make incoming or outgoing call, you will see the call recording
widget on the screen. Truecaller will start recording your calls as soon as you
tap this button.
You can
listen or share all the call recordings from the Call Recording section of the
Truecaller app.
However,
Truecaller will need to give Device Control access to Truecaller for call
recording. This access will leave a lot of information on your phone in the
hands of the company. That's why even if you can use this feature for free, you
need to be aware of the risk of enabling this option before you start. The app
also comes with call announcement and ghost call feature. Using call
announcement, you can find out who called without looking at the phone.
Truecaller will read the caller's name. However, this feature can only be used
by Premium and Gold subscribers.
The Ghost
Call feature allows customers to display fake calls on the phone by setting any
name, number and picture. This feature will help you to get out of nowhere. For
now, however, only premium customers will be able to use Truecaller's new
feature. Truecaller has also streamlined the user interface of the app.
